Decolonial Silent Game
The original Silent Game is about creating abstracted mechanic of communication. These are game design research exercises developed in 1980 at MIT by John Habrakan and Mark Gross.
Besides many things colonialism disrupts communication of colonized people as well. I'm looking into how to make decolonial mechanics and how to tie it with the communication mechanics in Silent Game.
In this version people trying to communicate will be taking turns in creating an image together without verbal communication. Entity representing colonialism will try to interrupt communication by creating visual obstacles throughout the game. The players’ goal is to understand each other idea through creating an image together.
